Matthew Hoban - The Dunes of Khar-Toba

Matthew Hoban - The Dunes of Khar-Toba

Here's a song I threw together a couple weeks ago. Ideas for the music just kept coming to me and I banged it out fairly quickly. I originally didn't intend to sing on it, but when trying to come up with lyrics for it... it all just kind of fell into place. I made the drums in Cubase with Superior Drummer 2.0, and recorded everything in Audacity. This is by no means finished. I plan on adding some reverb to the toms, redo the bass and guitar, and redo the vocals when I get a real mic at a later date. I am by no means a singer, and this is my first time trying to. A question I have for you guys is: Do you like how the 2nd verse is halved, or do you think I should keep it full like in verse 1? Any constructive criticism is welcome. ...and yes, I am a Homeworld fan ;) ~Lyrics~ Lacerations On your back You've broken free From the slave trade Thrown into the desert's heart Your new belonging freedom Now walk across the sand Don't you dare stop for a single moment and Stare Into t! he sun As the sand invades your skin Swallow your fear As you cross the Dunes of Khar-Toba Oh, oh oh Oh, oh oh oh, oh-oh oh, Walk Straight Don't be afraid If you survive this ocean of glass You will be forever free *solo* Stare Into the sun As the sand invades your skin Swallowed your fear And you crossed the Dunes of Khar-Toba
